Hola everyone,
If you are reading this post, you may already be familiar with my shenanigans. I’m a sports journalist by day and a professional Spanish interpreter by night. In my free time, I love reading books and leaving red lipstick stains on coffee mugs. Welcome to a blog that nobody asked for but since I’m such a giver here is a glimpse into my mind.
On a regular year by this time I find myself on a beautiful tropical island that I call home. I’ve been covering the Dominican winter ball since 2018. This year, however, after a long journey that started by covering the Caribbean Series and continued with a very long and exciting regular season of Major League Baseball, a nerve-wracking postseason run, and a somewhat eventful World Series. I’ve decided to stay in New York this winter, to unwind and rest.
This is not my first attempt at writing a blog, but I promise this is the most excited that I’ve been about writing one. While I don’t consider my life a reality show-worthy, I do think there may be some aspects of it that I would enjoy sharing, that’s the reason behind this space.
Those who follow me on social media may have noticed that although my interests are vast and diverse, all my posts usually revolve around my job in sports, specifically baseball. I don’t wish to radically change that but, I’ve decided that sharing a little more about my life and my other interest may not be an awful idea. Inevitably there will be some ball talk but I’ll do my best to keep it fresh and as unapologetically me as possible.
XO,
-AJ♡
